Our fourth, and last, post in this Faith Series offers us specific examples of how to use your faith and why you can have the power to make amazing things happen.

I hope you have begun to practice some of what you read in the first three posts on faith. If you missed those, following are links to each one for you to read:

Faith of God

Confessions of Faith

Your Words Matter

The body of each of these four posts on faith are from the same source and are copied in its original format from the website, Strongfaith.org.

I want to experience more faith in my life so I am making intentional changes in my life to create a more faith conscious attitude. I will speak in faith, anticipating the working of the Spirit, while also paying attention to the words I say every day. I want my whole countenance to emanate from the Lord so that I am available and ready to be used in whatever way He chooses to use me.

Please take notes and pray about what you are reading to see how Jesus will change your life. Let your faith live in power through the Holy Spirit!

Wind and Waves

“And he arose, and rebuked the wind, and said unto the sea, Peace, be still. And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm [Mark 4:39]. And he said unto them, Where is your faith? And they being afraid wondered, saying one to another, What manner of man is this! for he commands even the winds and water, and they obey him [Luke 8:25]. And he saith unto them, Why are ye fearful, O ye of little faith? Then he arose, and rebuked the winds and the sea; and there was a great calm [Matthew 8:26-27]. Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believes on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father” [John 14:12].

  1. I can rebuke the wind and say unto the sea, “Peace, be still”; because I do the same works that Jesus did [Mark 4:39, John 14:12]. I will rebuke the wind that is producing a storm in my life. I will say, “Peace, be still” to my environment.
  2. Jesus will not find me faithless or fearful. I will rebuke the winds and and speak to the waves in my live.
  3. Jesus promises me that if I have one grain of pure faith [no mixture of doubt and unbelief], they will obey me [Luke 17:6].
  4. The winds and the water obey me because they obeyed Jesus.

“As soon as Jesus heard the word that was spoken, he saith unto the ruler of the synagogue, Be not afraid, only believe [Mark 5:36]. Jesus said unto him, If you can believe, all things are possible to him that believes [Mark 9:23]. Nothing is impossible to me because I possess one grain of pure faith in God’s Word” [Matthew 17:6].

My words are the working, productive Word of God. I use the Word of God with my mouth. My heart overflows with faith and my mouth speaks faith [Matthew 12:34]. I bring a good treasure of faith from my heart [Matthew 12:35]. Jesus will find faith in my life when he returns [Luke 18:8].

Is faith alive in you? Another question is – are spiritual gifts alive and active in your life? If spiritual gifts are vacant, faith will be also.

Are you daily reading the Bible and praying? Again, if these are vacant from your daily life, faith will be also.

Does the love of God flow through you to others (including those that iritate you)? One more time, if this love is vacant from your life, faith will be also.

Let’s focus on our relationship with Jesus and allow Him to open up a whole new aspect to our walk with Him!
