MISSIONS ADVANCEMENT TEAM

In order to keep a consistent focus on foreign missions, we have established the Missions Advancement Team.  This is a Missions Director and four team members that recommend courses of action to the Pastor as well as lead in being the first responders in our church to Missions fund-raising, awareness, prayer requests, praise reports, missionary interaction, short-term missions applications, full-time missions applications, and etc.

Missions at The Church at Asheville

We are all called to spread the good news of the Gospel!  In Matthew 28: 19-20, the Lord tells us “Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:  Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you:  and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world.”

Jesus, who represents the name of the Father, Son and Holy Ghost, commissions each of us to teach the Gospel to all nations.  Yes, this involves going to other countries, but also YES, this also involves our home country.  Our Local Ministries is where we meet our home missions goals, while ‘Missions’ actually is our foreign missions.

MISSIONS TRIP PHOTO GALLERIES

As a Church we want to be involved with foreign missions personally.  We support full time missions works.  But when someone takes the time to raise the money, secure a passport, ready themselves to travel overseas, and ministers to people in a foreign country – that person comes back changed.  They have a new perspective, an increased love of people and a greater understanding of the Great Commission.

These photo galleries are to share what our teams experience when they go to inspire the next team to go!

Honduras is full of beautiful mountain vistas

We hope these photos encourage you to be more involved in the Great Commission.  Whether that happens overseas or in your own neighborhood sharing the love of Christ is part of what we as Christians are meant to do.
